Yuja, also called yuzu in Japan, is a citrus fruit that is grown in Asia. It is the size of a tangerine and is yellow-orange when ripe. Like a lemon or lime, the yuja fruit is prized for its fragrant peel, essential oil, seeds and juice. The juice of a yuja is particularly acidic and forms the basis for yujacha, a lemon tea that Koreans swear by as a cold and flu remedy.
